Knick-Knacks

My theme for the A to Z Challenge is Laura Ingalls Wilder. Laura Ingalls Wilder was the author of the Little House books and there was a television series very loosely based on the books. I began reading the books when I was eleven years old (which even I have a hard time believing is over 40 years ago!). If you would like to read about my feelings about Laura, visit this site. I have also listed helpful sites and blogs in my sidebar if you would like to learn more.

K is for Knick-Knacks (I have edited to add captions under each photo)

What, you may ask, does knick-knacks have to do with Laura Ingalls Wilder?

Let me give you a hint:

The butter mold has a strawberry and leaf pattern.
My antique lantern is electrified with a bulb that flickers like a flame.
It's on a timer so that it's on every evening.

Okay, here are a few of my favorite Laura knick-knacks.
An adult and child sunbonnets, a school bell (that my dad gave me) and a slate, an iron, I have a mother-of-pearl feather shaped pen, some name cards and an autograph book, sheep shears and a hog scraper and some of my button collection.

Jim bought me another teacher's school bell and here are some schoolbooks
with another mother-of-pearl pen (this one is not feather shaped).

My copies of Tennyson's poems and Millbank.
Next to Jim's stereoscope and cards.

My teacup collection.

My cupboard of spouted things. A creamer like Laura's among them.
A few knick-knacks in my house may have some connection to the Little House books or Laura Ingalls Wilder. I'm sure some of you can pick those items out!

And, umm, should I admit that this is only a part of my collection?
